Match Group has named new key executives, including its first CTO and a new President and CFO, as well as a new focus on four key businesses – Tinder, Hinge, Asia and Evergreen & Emerging.

According to the company’s press release, Gary Swindler was named to the top position of Match Group as President and CFO, and Will Wu joins as chief technology officer, a newly created position, to oversee product innovation across all apps. Swindler was promoted from his position as CFO and COO and Wu joins from Snap Inc., where he oversaw the commercialization of Snap’s developer platforms and spearheaded the creation of its most famous features like “Discover” and the “Chat” messaging feature, as well as Snap’s social gaming feature.

Match Group is betting big on Wu, who brings an impressive background with developing one of the earliest revenue streams for Snap, as well as developing Snap’s primary social engagement driver.

"Will is truly a product savant," said Bernard Kim, Match Group’s CEO, in the release. "For nine years, he has forged new technologies at scale that have redefined user experiences and expectations of social products, particularly amongst Gen Z. I've known him for a long time, and have seen the massive impact he's had on the way people connect at Snap, and I can't wait to see what he will bring to the dating experience.”

In another newly created role, Malgosia Green will become CEO of Match Group Asia, a new key business focus for the company. Green will be based in Singapore and oversee Pairs, Hyperconnect, and the Asia go-to-market teams to help expansion in this market.

Hesam Hosseini will take on the newly created role of CEO of Evergreen & Emerging Brands, where he will oversee longtime dating platforms Match, Plenty of Fish, Meetic and OkCupid, as well as emerging brands such as The League, BLK, and Chispa. He was promoted from CEO of Match and Affinity brands.

Justin McLeod has captured Match Group’s attention too as the app he founded, rebuilt, and relaunched to great success continues to grow at an impressive rate, and for now, is outshining star app Tinder. He will report directly to Kim in his role as Hinge CEO.

Tinder’s executive team will continue to report to Kim directly, as he is still interim CEO of the app.

Kim said in the statement: “This leadership team has a deep bench of knowledge, proven track records, and we are all ready to collaborate and capitalize on the opportunities ahead.”
