PoF pretended it was me

I'm not really sure what kind of Faustian Deal Markus (the previous owner of PoF) made, but I guess it worked out well for him financially. The site users, not so much. It starts off with about an hour's work of filling out questions, starting off with "how do like your coffee?" and "do you like cats, dogs, or both?" then just jumping straight to about 3 pages of BDSM questions. But these aren't my biggest issue with it. My biggest issue is this story: I used to be a member, but got frustrated and put my profile in "sleep mode". Months went by, and I suddenly get a friend request on Facebook. "OMG! I've been searching for you for so long! Remember me? Remember how much we'd talk long into the night? I missed you!"
What.
"Sorry, I....don't know you."
"But...you're (my name)....we talked...on PoF..."
"Not according to my brain. When was this?"
"...Within the last 2 months, why?"
"I put my account on ice 4 months ago."
I could feel her heart break as soon as I hit the 'send button'.
After that, I was FURIOUS. I did some reading of the fine print, and it says you agree to the use of "ambassadors", which are basically fake profiles. I assume they're PoF employees hired to converse with you on the premise that the entire basis for you being single is that you just suck at communication. I mean, that, or they're bots, or scammers. Not much difference.
Honestly, the only good thing is the free messaging. Otherwise, it's bad.
