ALWAYS CHECK THE DATE AND TIME ON FORUM POSTS AND NEWS ARTICLES ONLINE. NOBODY IS DOING THE DUE DILIGENCE TO REMOVE OR UPDATE OUTDATED OR INCORRECT INFORMATION.

POF DOES NOT HAVE VIDEO CHAT OR IM IN 2019.

This post about PoF video chat is from 2011. It still shows up in the first search results on Google. I actually spent half an hour trying to accommodate a scammer on PoF because of this disinformation. I really should have known better in 2019 because this ridiculously old thing mentions Flash Player, but whatever. Luckily I recognized the link "she" gave me as off the POF site before I fell into it.

Obviously it's easy to forget my own advice.

This new live feature which I just tried has turned this app into basically just a cam service. It works and everything but it is defiantly doesn't have much to do with online dating anymore and is just young women trying to show off and earn money by trying to entice viewers.

Also not a fan of the new app. All matches are random now. It is super hard to find anyone who matches your preferences which is kind of weird since you think they would use your preferences for matching!
