No way am I giving POF my actual cell phone number. I simply do not trust that I won't get spammed into oblivion.

They will not accept my google voice number.

They do not provide any other method of verification.

Consequently I am done w POF.

This is a complete joke. I have an account but had to close for a reason and when I tried to join another account my phone number was rejected because I had to many accounts with the same number. There is nothing on their website to say anything about this and I'm pissed because I was an upgraded member but it's their loss because I won't be using this site again.

POF told me I would not have to have a mobile phone ... I bought a membership..

Then it turned out that was not at all true... They took the money and lied...

And when I complained they were not at all nice... the women on the phone said the deleted my account.... and they will refund my money... who knows if the is just more lies.

Same here! Done with POF as I don't trust them to protect my phone number...way to many scammers on the site, anyway.
