I left before 2015 but back then the problem was the ridiculous amount of rules on the forum.

Honestly, you'd join up and see an absolute barrage of rules listed in shouting bold text with various threats of banning. It was an insular place ran by rule Nazis.

Some of the rules didn't make any sense to a lot of people. 2 in 10 post rule, if you post more than twice on a topic in the last 10 posts of any thread. There were hundreds of different rules and it was just unnecessary.

Think about the mindset of a person you would need as moderator to enforce the pedantic rules and the culture of people required to actually enjoy interacting on such a platform, and that therein was the underlying problem.

Funny to think it went from being over-moderated to not moderated at all. I bet people had a field day when that happened!

It's all a bit of a shame really, but many people tried to warn Frind at the time and he never listened / showed no interest. The mods killed that forum, Match just put in the last nail.

Had a run in with a mod/ex mod who was also critical of the owner in a thread and was accordingly dealt with. Not good like he pretended to be.
