The men (and probably women, although I didn't check because I'm straight) on Plenty of Fish are predominantly conservative (out of apathy rather than conviction) and mostly poorly educated, complete with profiles riddled with misspellings. You can't search by education level or political orientation. I don't have kids, but it seems everyone else there has had at least 3 by the age of 23. I'm not particularly interested in playing stepmother to teenagers. I'm also not really compatible with Republicans, who seem to make up the majority of the members in my area, even though I live in a heavily Democratic area. I have nothing against conservatives, but relationships work best if both people involved have similar values. Alos, the membership stats are obviously inflated - they count anyone who has ever had a profile for a day as a member, even if they've only logged onto the site for a few days before realizing that there are indeed a lot of fish, but all of them smell a little off.
