Not awful but not good either

I found a mix of guys - geeky, normal, and players. I did not post my photo but only attached it when I made an approach so that probably weeded out a lot of the players. I found that most men tended to prefer chatting, emailing and phoning to actually meeting (despite their interest in my recent and accurate photos). I suspect those folks were probably married or stringing along several women. Not good and I think there is a lot of this on PoF - a lot of aimless attention-seeking. No doubt it is similar for the women; I think there are a fair number of prostitutes trawling for customers - that might be standard for dating sites though. Ahhh, it's all so beautiful!

The few guys I met looked like their photos, worked at their stated job and seemed to be about the age they said they were. I found no vulgarity - though my profile was pretty straight-ahead (not coy, no innuendo, no cleavage). There are stable women and men on PoF but it is hard to stay optimistic if you stay on there for long! Avoid reading the forum posts; they will make you want to give up on the other sex and on humanity in general: shrill, angry, ignorant, narcissistic. In my city, I think PoF has developed a reputation as a site for casual hook-ups so I have left and will try another site.
