Compatible Partners is now part of eHarmony

Late in 2018 eHarmony was acquired by the German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 (Parship Elite Group). Since then they have been busy working on a large update to eHarmony which went live on November 4th, 2019. With this update came the closure of Compatible Partners which now redirects to eHarmony with the following message:

A fresh experience is waiting for you. Log in with your existing credentials or register now to discover what‘s new.

So, it looks like current members have nothing to worry about as all active member accounts have been moved over to eHarmony so all you need to do is log in with your existing information.

So how did Compatible Partners get started? As a result of 2005 discrimination lawsuit against eHarmony! As part of a settlement in November of 2008, eHarmony agreed to launch a same sex match service by March 31, 2009 and so Compatible Partners was born.

Compatible Partners had a lot of press initially thanks to the legal issues eHarmony was facing but it never really did catch on in their target market. Compatible Partners in essence was eHarmony under the hood and shared all the same features. The only thing different was the branding and that the matching algorithm took into account the members gender preference and any matching compatibility differences that came with it.

eHarmony's new owners Parship Elite Group have decided to combine the 2 dating services together since the new eHarmony now supports matching singles interested in same sex partners. I am sure it also make things easier to operate and manage on their end, plus eHarmony definitely has the stronger brand name.
