Dating app Bumble announced that it will be sponsoring the seventh annual Prohibition NYE in downtown Los Angeles. The popular New Year’s Eve party has a “Roaring Twenties” theme against the backdrop of the historic Union Station.

The event is organized by McCullough and Ross in partnership with KCRW, and features world-class DJs, a live jazz ensemble, burlesque, and an open bar for guests. Live acts include local artist Classixx and Lyndsay and the All Nighters, according to the event’s PR. To help guests ring in the New Year with appropriate festivity, a ball will drop from the famous art deco ceiling of the train station.

Bumble users will be able to get into the event by showing an active profile on their phones, so if you’re interested in attending, be sure to download the app and set it up before arriving to the yellow-carpeted entrance. There will also be a photo booth, so it’s encouraged to dress for the occasion.

The female-friendly dating and networking app has focused its efforts on getting its members to connect in real life, most recently by partnering with Moxy Hotels, a stylish boutique chain in major cities like Denver and Chicago. Bumble’s networking events are held at the hotels, and each property has a dedicated Bumble space (dubbed BumbleSpot) that give the app’s members a place to meet their matches safely – whether for dating, networking, or meeting new friends.

“[Bumble users] ask us for these suggestions and places to go all the time,” Director of Partnerships for Bumble Andee Olson told The Denver Post, where the first new BumbleSpot launched in November. “BumbleSpots are approved places in every single major city across the U.S. where we put our stamp of approval on that venue, whether it’s a coffee shop, a bar or a restaurant.”

The New Year’s Eve bash is another initiative from Bumble to encourage real-life connection, especially during a night filled with romantic potential like New Year’s Eve. January 1st kicks off dating’s high season, where more people sign up and swipe through online dating apps than any other time of year, and lasts until Valentine’s Day, another couple-centered romantic holiday.

Prohibition NYE is one of two Bumble sponsored events for the big night. Keep it Quiet is hosting its annual party at Fair Market in Auston Texas, featuring pizza, music and an open bar.

For the more swanky guests, Prohibition NYE will offer VIP tables featuring hostess service and an exclusive stage-side elevated viewing experience.

The event costs $185 to attend (which does include the drinks), and runs until 2:00am on January 1st. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.
