I am surprised by some people's reviews, but they are also years old on this website. I have currently been using their site and think it is fantastic. PerfectMatch was just featured on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer. Seeing the reviews that they were also featured on Dr. Phil makes me question some user's complaints. Why would two popular people link their name to a site that is supposidly a scam?

Emma & Terry's success story is very sweet and I am happy with the matches I have received so far. While I have not found my Perfect Match yet, I am hopeful that I will find one. The icebreakers make it easy to communicate with others, and I love that you can compare your profile side by side with another member. This site is fantastic & I am recommending it to my friends.

Also to the question about if other sites work - I have read complaints about a few other sites, bad customer service, bad screening of people, being matched with people who have opposite lifestyles. So far I have not experienced any of these problems with Perfect Match.

I too tried Perfect Match and I feel the money I spent for that service would have been better utilized had I flushed it down the toilet! With THREE exceptions, every match I received did not have a photo, this despite my being specific about requiring a photo when I set up my my match preferences.

I tried requesting photos and not once did I ever receive a reply. After about one too many more occurrences of this nonsense, I canceled my membership with approximately a month remaining on my agreement. By far, this is the absolute worse online dating service out there. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I wish I had read this site before giving them my credit card number. About 3 matches in several weeks none of whom are close enough to even begin to consider plus lonely guys writing fromm across the country.

This is pathetic...there's no phone number and I want to ensure I am not auto-renewed. I think it's best to let Dr. Phil know...it refelcts poorly on him. We should all pummel his site with emails.

This website is very disreputable. No matches after first week, no one communicates, no photos posted, and no attempts by membership services to improve number of matches offered.

Worst part is my account was automatically renewed and I am currently trying to get a refund for unauthorized renewal. Unfortunately, no phone number is listed regarding account services and my emails are not being replied to. Furthermore, my request to have my account cancelled has not been processed.

This site absolutely sucks and is a HUGE waste of money.

Buyer Beware - Perfect Match will not give you a refund if you are unsatisfied with the site!
Of course, you've no way to know if you are satisfied or not until you sign up!
Per an article in the Seattle Times, Perfect Match had so many complaints with the State Attorney General's Office, the Office stopped taking complaints.
Save your money and find a more reputatble company with which to do business.

The issues with Perfect Match have not changed. There are no members, at least paid members. And after just about 5-7 days, it is clear that no one will respond to you. AND the real punch in the stomach is that customer service will not refund you the money. They give some mumbo-jumbo about contract that you agreed to. This site is not worth the money. Never pay for a site. Just use Plentyoffish or some other free place.

I joined perfectmatch more than a month ago. I'm very disapointed! I feel I just threw the money away. I have not had a single response or communication of any kind, accept from customer service telling me I could cancel, but no refund! I joined another service at the same time with the same info and am thrilled with the way things are going!

Have you tried chatting? I've met a fair number of single people chatting. No one that I am willing to date yet but it is a start. I've tried other sites with no real luck but I am willing to give this site a shot for a wwell

Why oh why didn't I read the reviews before paying? Initially I thought it seemed great-a perfect combination of Match and Eharmony. But then the reality struck, there are basically no paying male members in my area (upstate NY). Save your money and try either eharmony, match or plenty of fish (which is free)!

It's a nice site and tries to match you by personality factors, which I liked. The downside is that you can't tell if someone you've been matched with is still active on line. Also, the men they've "matched" me with don't live within 50 miles of me....one of my main criteria. Expensive, too.

Absolutely correct. I joined it and paid a lot of money for one month to try it. I met one person that I'm still in contact with as a friend. However, I was totally disappointed in it. He said the same thing. I kept getting matches with no photos and ones that expired. You have no way of knowing if that person canceled his/hr subscription. I found it to be frustrating. Also, I have to agree that all the matches they sent me were way too far away. Did not make sense to me especially when they ask you what you are looking for and how far away you would consider. I don't think I would rejoin ever.

I don't know anything about this site, and only joined Match.com several years ago, when it was "the site" to go to.

But I never met anyone more than just the initial meeting. I'm very in touch with where I am, and I'm not perfect and find that a lot of people who go on line think they have lots and lots of choices (esp men, sorry guys....but true). So they seem to have very high criteria and think they can just keep looking and looking and looking...............that was my experience.

I'm trying Craigs list, although I have reviewed it and haven't liked a lot of what I have read, at least it's FREE and there's no access issues.

I've heard this about a few sites.
I used to be in sales/marketing/bus development and I can tell you that it's all about revenue. I don't think they mean to match you with people not "geographically desirable", but they probably don't have anyone in your close proximity, with so many more sites popping up for internet dating. They are all over the place.

I'm thinking of match.com or matchmaker.com

I do think you have to evaluate the number of enrollees they have in your area. It's critical.

I just met someone wonderful, "the old fashioned" way or through someone, unfortunately he's still not recovered from an old relationship, but we really hit it off. So I think getting out there and just going to events and stuff and asking friends, etc can be the best way.
