This is followed by True and then Match.com. Combined together, Match, Yahoo Personals and True account for more than 50 percent of all online dating traffic.

Match.com has had several TV commercials but I think the latest one is excellent not only for Match.com but Online Dating in general. The ad which has the tag line "It's Okay To Look on Match.com" features Dr. Phil sitting and talking about how he approves with using online dating. If you are in a dating slump it's ok to at least check out and see how online dating works, find out who your matches are and to create a profile. This ad is very professional looking and seems to be about online dating in general until the end which you are presented with the "It's Okay To Look on Match.com" slogan. This new commercial also fits well with the new site design and internet ad campaign that Match.com has launched.

Match.com spends about $60 million annually in advertising (both TV and Internet media), according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Online Dating last year netted about $515 million, per Jupiter Media. Match.com share in this is about $250 million, almost half. For more information read our Match Review (match.com).
