So I got a phone number from a girl last weekend. We have texted each other a couple of times but nothing major was discussed. I basically asked her "how her night was", "I had a good time at .." and so forth. She actually texted me first which I thought was a good sign.

We probably texted each other a total of 8 times throughout the week which is good because I wanted to keep the memories of us fresh in her mind.

Yesterday I gave her a call but got no answer and no voice mail. I then texted her and joked that she should get voice mail. She texted me back saying that she was at work and we could talk later.

I called again today because I was hoping to ask her out Friday but she did not pick up the phone.

What's my next step here? What are the rules of dating and calling someone back?

Should I just try calling her again tonight or wait for her to call?

Should I send another text? If I do, what should I say?

Well I have waited for a day and no call from her.

I am thinking of sending her a text asking her to call me. Would this be to forward?
