My girlfriend and I have been dating for just over a year. We did fight every now and then but for the most part it has been great. Then about a month ago things started to get real busy for me at work and my gf changed schools and was real busy as well. We only saw each other 2 times that month. We got in an argument over this and in the end she said she wanted to break up ... so in the end we did.

In about 3 weeks she started to call me again (like every day) and told me that she wanted to be single but didn't want to lose me. She wants her space but she still loves me. With all of our talking on the phone and her coming over again it almost feels like we are back together.

A twist to this story is that her best friend also recently dumped her boyfriend and they (her best friend) have been going out a lot lately to bars and clubs.

I am a little confused here. I still want to be with her but I do not want to get hurt again. Does anybody see a future between me and her? Is this just a phase she is going through because her best friend is also in a similar situation?
