This woman wants me to give my debit card info to this site for verification she says, I'm not a trusting person. So does anyone know if this is legit or a way into my bank account

How does this scam work? I've had this happen to me.
I've even had them tell me to use a Loadable CC you buy from a store that only has like 50 cents on it.
I've always wondered how this scam works. They've told me to sign up at hookups.com, and Friend-finders.com and a few others. How do they get your info when its the legit website that they give?
