I have ben a member of matchcom and I have had NO luck at a date. I am decent looking, retired at 45 and it seems that if a woman replies, she is hostile, does not let you know if she is interested or waits s week or two after you have writen her and on matchcom you can see when a person was last on the internet. It makes you say the h___with dating when you wriote a nice intro to someone that you meet her requirements and see that she has been on the match site in the last 24 hours but can't even take the time for a 'thanks but no thanks' e mail. Matchcom even has a box that you can click that says not interested. Internet dating is going to go the way of the nickel hamburger unless the sites inmprove and educate its members on what is civicl behavor. If I want abuse or made to feel like crap, I don't need to pay for it. When my sucription runs out, I am through with matchcom and probably the personals. I regret this attitude because I have had a lot of great times and learned a lot from dating through print ads. Internet dating is totally diferent because it is to easy to click to the next person.
