POF ? HA... Don't waste your time. Sadly POF seems to be replete with totally self absorbed narcissists who have difficulty stinging a coherent sentence together. The problem is so many women get hundreds of contacts from normal everyday blokes and they start to imagine they're all 10's. It's interesting that so many of them seem to have been on th esite for years, I wonder why..... ? complete joke.

I have had the same experience on the couple of dating apps I’ve checked out recently and I wouldn’t consider myself fat or poor by any standards.PoF quite honestly has more unattractive females using their app than I ever even realized existed in the world.

Im honestly not trying to be a jerk but I am in absolute shock every single time I go to swipe their profiles.It doesn’t even seem real that picture after picture that these women post look like they’re out a documentary about the possible hazards of inbreeding.

I use dating apps to try and meet people outside of the town I live in because I live in a small town,I recently got divorced after being married for almost all of my entire adult life and I don’t want to start over with someone me and my ex wife have probably known most of our lives.

And if it’s not completely obvious by now a lot of the reason you’re not receiving messages back is because a majority of the profiles are put on there by the company who owns the app to keep you thinking that there’s all of these pretty single girls just waiting to be swept up off of their feet!

I stopped messaging girls after a week or so because like you I wasn’t getting any responses and it was really fricking frustrating!Well,wouldn’t you know it,after being inactive for the better part of a week I started getting bombarded with all of these profiles of really attractive, successful women telling me that they liked me and wanted to meet!!!Jackpot,I thought!

It didn’t take me long to figure out it was actually PoF responding to my inactivity by making me think that all of these women were there just waiting for a man like me to swipe right and send a clever little message to spark up a relationship with them! They didn’t want to lose my thirty bucks a month I was initially duped out of for the membership!

Not a single one of the almost twenty “ladies” that messaged me to tell me they were interested in the first place responded to actual written,typed messages that I sent back in correspondence.

Needless to say I canceled my memberships for bumble and Zoosk and am just going to focus on the things I can control like my relationship with my kiddos and my health and job.
