No one should use dating site but definitely NOT single50. I am currently trying to cancel my membership and they are making it very hard to do so. It should be as simple as sending them a request but no, they are making me jump through all sorts of hoops!!! do not use this site!!

Ive been having fun with it and correcting their grammar and legal mistakes: ive even told them that i have a 'book' running where my friends and i have bets on seening how long i can keep their replies coming. As they never address the emails with a name, ive decided to call the representative 'Anabelle NoNickers'
heres some random snippits from several email replies:
* We are unable to comprehend your behaviour' Well 'comprehend', by definition is a reflection of your own inability to 'grasp mentally', which has become quite evident. I would suggest you look up what that word means. 'Grasp mentally' by the way, are the actual words in the dictionary definition of 'Comprehend'.
* 'Urge' Look up that word as well whilst looking up comprehend. There is an irony in my own advise there, but here's hoping
* 'Make sure you comply with this deadline!!' I don't think i need to comment on the facile nature of this combination of words and use of punctuation, other to just ask that you take a look and maybe rethink this use of rhetoric in the future.
There's loads more, but I'm bored now. and tired like you also. However in this whole statement..........
'We are unable to comprehend your behaviour, as you made a definite booking and all your personal details, your bank details and your computer's identification number were also logged. We must therefore urge you again to transfer the receivable that is still outstanding amounting to EUR 178,33 promptly, albeit by not later than 28.02.2023. Make sure you comply with this deadline!!.......... has so much wrong with it, I will let you review it yourself.
'paid membership' Oh dear., oh dear. Please refer to the definition of a 'membership'. I would also look at the difference between a subscription and a membership as they are very different. A 'paid membership' is different again. What is it?
My friends and I now have started betting on how many emails you will send before you give up the façade. So please hang in there for a bit. There's a mix of high and low numbers. The winner gets all the pot, Its up to around £180 now and rising
I am still hoping you keep responding as the pot for how many contacts is now over £600, and i went high in my guess. lets get into years and many
Thanks 'Annabelle' - ill call you 'Mrs Annabelle Noknickers' until you provide me with your name as is a reasonable request and a common courtesy

Same happened to me when I emailed them to cancel my subscription a week before.
Definitely scammers... I am now going legal to seek costs against them, and see where it ends up.
DONT TRUST THIS BE2 WEBSITE!!1

This site has been really helpful. Thankyou everyone for sharing. I’d like to share my story. I have also been scammed by academic singles. They took $190 for 1 year subscription and then I realised 1 day later that it’s all a scam. The people posted were all fake. I cancelled my credit card. I emailed them and tried to call but unsuccessful. I then called consumer affairs (CA). They helped me through it’s terms and conditions. There is a clause re:email and canceling but consumer affairs told me it’s ok and just to leave it. If they try to send a debt collector after me ignore it. This was all 8 months ago. Today I received message re: debt collector wanting $170.83 EUR. I will just leave it as advised by CA. Hope this helps you all.
