me too!!! i chose 1 x month for $29 and they took $299 from my card!! after numorous emais to them to cancel
(i had already told the bank, got it reversed thank goodness), they sent me a threatnening email to pay or they would get my details from my ip address and take baylef action. after emails back and forth telling them i tried to cancel the next day due to the high amount of money taken from my card, but after 6 weeks they are still sending me emails to pay or else. i was considering paying them on paypal, but i couldnt do it that way and luckily i have seen this forum and i am not going to worry, as it is stressing me out!!

today i have received an invoice from the creditor to paid EUR239.40.
since the beginning i tried to cancel but failed.

huhuhuhuhu.. me too. now am a bit worried if they send me legal letter for the outstanding amount i have to pay to them. I have to pay EUR239.40. huhhuhuhuuhu am a bit scared.

Has anyone in this forum throughout the years had any follow up from any solicitors? Or have most people ended up paying? please help!

Report these guys to your federal trade Commission- the more they are reported then maybe we will get a resolution to our complaints. This website is a disgrace

I created a premium account to academicsingles.com, then I realized that this not for me in exactly the same day and I tried to cancel the subscription and it is mentioned to cancel the premium account before to cancel the subscription. To cancel the premium account the user needs to provide some informations like full name, address, username, subscription date, the amount payed and the most important, the signature. All you customer data in white. All to this fax number: +442077859384. They want me to send important personal data with my signature on a white sheet of paper!!! Basically this is a trick and they will create a contract and they will force you to pay legally. I searched on internet by the fax number they provided and I was terrified. So I sent an email to the address they provided and it looks like it doesn' t exist. They have another section where the user can ask to delete all data according GDPR to another address confidentialitate@academicsingles.ro. I wrote there and their reply is that you don't exist in their database.

HOW IT WORKS:
- you as a user create a profile
- if you don't have a PREMIUM account you cannot see all the messages or the pics so you will pay for a premium for a month
- I realized in the same day that this is not for me and don't really want to have an account on a dating website, maybe the real world works better for me. So I tried to unsubscribe and cancel the account.
- they mention that the account deletion is not possible until the premium account is not cancelled.

EXACTLY IN THAT MOMENT THEY WILL CREATE A CONTRACT, AND FROM THAT MOMENT THEY WILL LEGALLY FORCE YOU TO PAY!!!!!!!!!
