Thanks for mentioning ScientificMatch, (again)! It's a very interesting post.

You mention a lack of detail that scientifically-oriented sites disclose about their matching algorithms. I agree, but ScientificMatch is the exception. You can read all about our science, here: http://www.scientificmatch.com/html/about_more_about_benefits_chemistry.php.

I also agree there's a huge lack of scientific support for most matchmaking systems. In fact, not a single peer-reviewed study supports the matching system of ANY matchmaking service--except ScientificMatch. And ScientificMatch isn't supported by a single peer-reviewed study--it's supported by OVER 40 of them! They're all spelled out on the same page listed above, where the science behind our service is described.

It's ironic that the only matchmaking process that's been scientifically proven is the only one that hasn't been used, until now.
