I'm new to the SB word, and actully am 1 year older than my SD, him being 50. He has been very upfront about wanting to start me on a allowance of 250 Cdn weekly and the only request so far is to have a cell phone that I can receive and send international texts to as he lives in the States but works 2 months out of 3 in Europe. I DO have the culture, history knowledge and panash to be a SB and like the idea that I'm there in the intense situation (although not yet) and then free to go about my business. And, the spoiling? I'm an only child honey....I was BORN to be spoiled lol! I'm a size 12/14 and do keep up my beautiful red headed weave (I'm white, not that it matters), do my own nails and drive a beautiful Mitsubishi convertible that I paid for AND I have an income albiet nowhere NEAR what my SD could come near. So ladies.....I've asked my new SD several times about what he expects and likes..all to no avail....he doesn't answer me directly about it....I do send him lots of photos which he loves...and I have been a bit slow to start up a bank acct he can deposit to weekly. Is my slow steppin part of the problem with why he isn't communicating well? I wondered if he is used to having control (obviously .... duh the money buys the control and I am aware of that trade-off) and by me not rushing to get he bank acct set up and bank stuff to him maybe he's a little put off cause I am in control still by keeping that from him.....then again, how common is it to start a SB on an allowance (or offer it) within 2 weeks? He swears he's legit but I just got bank frauded in March 2012 so I can't afford to make any mistakes! (wasn't my doing (bank fraud) - a set up in a public place saw my debit card get either scanned or skimmed and the bank has someone on camera depositing a bogus check and then cashing it right away and then going to a cash store and getting P.O.S. purchases for the rest of the 'cash' - of course the check bounced and I'm on the line for 4200.00 cdn.
