Ladies, camera tricks you shouldn't play in your dating profile

As ladies, we're unhappy with our bodies. We can be honest. There's always that one spot that drives us nuts, no matter how thin or toned we get. However, this is no excuse for camera trickery in your online dating profile. Let the following be a warning rather than a guide:
The Old Picture
We all have the old picture where we looked GREAT! If you don't look like that anymore (be honest!) then you shouldn't have it up in your profile. This goes double if you've gained more than 10 pounds since the picture was taken. Keep those photos for your Facebook - show the current you in your profile.
The Photo From Above
So you're taking current pictures and you've realized that your double chin disappears if you do a self-portrait looking UP at the camera. That's great, but how often are you going to be looking at your date from that angle? Oh what? Never? Ditch the clever photo and own up to how you look from a realistic angle.
The Photoshop
One of my friends has a photograph of herself wearing only a man's shirt and panties, sitting with her legs open. When I looked at it, something just didn't look right. Her legs seemed... odd. Not wrong, just not quite right. When I asked her about it she said, "Oh, I photoshopped it to make my legs just a tad longer and thinner!" Just say NO to Photoshop. You can crop photos or adjust the lighting or color levels, but don't doctor yourself.
The Goose Neck
This is another "hide the double chin" move. At some point, someone learned that sticking your head forward when getting your picture taken lessens the appearance of a double chin. Problem is, you look like a goose. Worse yet, because your face is closer to the camera than the rest of your body, it makes your face look bigger than it actually is. You don't want that, do you?
The Cleavage Queen
Don't include pictures that are a blatant show of your cleavage. Sure, you'll get tons of emails, but they won't be from the right kind of men. They'll be from the kind of men who judge you on your rack rather than your profile. It's fine to put up a picture of you in a cocktail dress or you in a low-cut top, but don't make your photo album all about the girls.
Take lots of new pictures! Have fun, show who you are NOW and have a great time dating.
