Booty Calls and Internet Dating: Who is doing it?

Self Magazine did an informal survey of its female readers about internet dating, casual sex and porn. It doesn't say how many people took the survey but let's take a look at some of the results anyways.

Question: Who is using an online dating site?

• Age 18 to 25 - 29%
• Age 26 to 35 - 52%
• Age 36 to 50 - 51%
• Age 51 and older - 68%

Question: Who is going online to search for a sex buddy?

• Age 18 to 25 - 12%
• Age 26 to 35 - 18%
• Age 36 to 50 - 21%
• Age 51 and older - 27%

Question: Who has sent a nude photo via email or phone?

• Sent a Nude Photo - 41%
• Had Cybersex - 38%
• Sexted - 22%
• Stripped for a Web Cam - 18%

They further say that 61% of women have viewed porn on their computer. Of these women, 65% of 18 to 25 year olds and 58% of 26 to 35 years old have self pleasured themselves while looking at online porn.

I didn't realize Self Magazine readers were so kinky 😉. To find out about the participants of the survey a bit more I took a look at Quantcast, a company which estimates traffic of websites. They estimate that 67% of the visitors to Self.com are female and 40% of those fall in the 18 to 34 range and a further 35% fall in the 35 to 49 age range.
