Christian Mingle is the dating service which is the recipient of the 2022 Top Pick - Christian Award. Christian Mingle is the largest dating service of its niche in North America thanks to not only name recognition and it being in business for over 20 years, but with its growing membership base due to members who have found relationships and recommending the service to their friends. Nearly 60,000 singles signup every month.

Over the last few years not much has changed with the Christian Mingle website and the apps (Android and iOS). Frankly not much has needed to change since the current design is balanced and working very well. It is free to join Christian Mingle, create your profile and search for members. The profiles contain enough information that it doesn't take long to fill out but still offers enough information to allow the matching algorithm or members who prefer searching to determine if a match is possible and communication should be the next step. While anyone can join Christian Mingle, the profiles are obviously geared towards those of the Christian faith and have religious based questions like listing your denomination and how often you attend church.

It is October so time to get started on planning the 15th annual Dating Sites Reviews Choice Awards.

The first item on our agenda is to setup the 2022 Single's Choice Award poll. This poll asks the voter which of the top 10 most popular dating services in North America would they recommend. In the early years of the awards we saw this dating service list that the voter can choose from fluctuate from year to year, but since then the industry has matured as the major players in the market have been defined. This means for the last few years our list of dating services to vote on for this award has not changed much. While every year there are a lot of new dating apps and sites which go live, very few ever make it long due to the stiff competition and large marketing budgets of the major dating services. It’s very hard to get that initial viral push going of getting new users to join a dating service.

The Single's Choice Award, which is awarded on Valentine’s Day, takes the results of the poll to determine the top 3 dating services as voted on by our visitors. Awarded services are marked as such on Dating Sites Reviews and is used by our visitors in the coming year to help them determine which dating service(s) they want to try out.

So what dating service worked for you best in 2021 that you would like to recommend? Let us know by casting your vote in the Single Choice Award:

This is a summary of the awards and their recipients for the 14th annual Dating Sites Reviews Choice Awards. The top three dating services who receives the most votes will be the recipient of a Gold, Silver, and Bronze award.

Single's Choice Award

2021 Dating Sites Reviews Single's Choice Award - Gold

Recipient Tinder

The recipient of the Gold Single's Choice Award for 2021 is Tinder. Tinder is a juggernaut that cannot be stopped. Adults that range in age from 20 to mid 30s are their most popular user. This is thanks in part to Tinder staying on top of the features most important to young tech-savvy adults. It's also helps that the people behind Tinder can react quickly to new trends and issues like the current pandemic. Very quickly after governments had told people to stay home did Tinder come out with a new virtual video chatting date feature.

2021 Dating Sites Reviews Single's Choice Award - Silver

Recipient POF

The Silver Single's Choice Award recipient for 2021 is POF (or Plenty of Fish). While Tinder is for younger adults, POF is most popular with singles who are between 30 and 50. With a streamlined interface and to the point feature set, it's easy to see why it has remained the go to dating service for people with busy lives.

2021 Dating Sites Reviews Single's Choice Award - Bronze

Recipient eHarmony

The recipient of the Bronze Single's Choice Award for 2021 is eHarmony. It has been a few years since eHarmony has been one of the top 3 dating services with the last time being in 2018. Since then the service has changed ownership and has gone under a huge interface and backend update which has been warmly received by their users and I am sure partly responsible for the resurgence of it's popularity.

This past year has been an interesting one from a dating perspective thanks to the pandemic that took hold of the world and the lock downs and social distancing that resulted from it. Most of the popular dating services found an increase in visitors especially during lockdown when people were forced to stay home. Seeing this trend, dating services that did not have a video feature rushed to get one added to their service to ensure daters had a way to interact virtually through live video streaming since meeting in real life was out. The funny thing with this is most services that have been around for the past 5 years probably had implemented video dating at one point, but had removed it by 2020 due to members not using it. While a lot of dating services did see increase numbers of visitors that did not necessarily mean increased revenue since online daters are looking to spend less during these uncertain times.

Right on schedule this year the 2021 Dating Sites Reviews Single's Choice Award poll went online October 1st, 2020 and closed for voting on December 31st, 2020. In 3 months, 334 visitors took time and cast their vote in the poll. This is down about 35% when compared to last year. I think part the reason for this was singles had decided to stay with the popular dating options instead of looking for new services thanks to the pandemic. For 2021, the poll asked the following question:
