I use google chrome to surf the web and it has a feature where by you can search the web for an image and it displays search results if there is a match.

I have recently begun using this to search the web for a users profile images that i think are suspect before deciding to contact them or not. Reason being is if their image is fake / copied from somewhere on the web it shows it up in multiple results.

Therefore indicating the profile is either fake or untrustworthy.
I did try posting about this in the forum section of a couple of online dating sites that i use, namely (playnaughty.com) to inform other users about this. Therefore reducing contact with the scammers, providing a safer experience and eventually driving the scammers away.

But my post was removed. This would only suggest that the admin / owner of this particular site doesn't wish its users to know about this and / or is supporting the scammers.....

It's very easy to figure out. Right click on the profile picture and download it to your desktop. Then go to Google images. Then do these steps on the pictures:

1-) Click on search by image
Note: This Image no longer available.

2-) Click on upload an image
Note: This Image no longer available.

3-) Upload the image you have downloaded from profile picture and you are done. If you get any results, it means the picture is not unique and it's highly likely your partner is fake.

I'm so happy that I have found this topic. I have just started to use online dating sites and I had no idea how's working. I though it's simple, you chose a site, create a profile and start connecting with people.
Some of my friends told me that on dating sites are a lot of scammers and fake profiles. Right after they told me that, I began being very suspicious about the guys I was talking with.

Thank you very much for sharing this. Now I know how to check them before wasting my time.
