We have been together for a year and we loved each other very much. Then one day out of nowhere he decided that he needs a break. I knew in my heart that he wanted to then break up with me so I said that we should just become friends. The problem is that it is difficult because I still love him. I kept trying to find out in discrete ways why he stopped loving me and if I did something wrong.

A few months later I met a guy and we started dating. It wasn’t anything to serious but it was what I needed after the breakup. My ex must have found out because he started texting me again out of the blue. He was being really nice and I had to remind myself that nothing good can come out of this even though I still love him. My ex eventually asked me out and we went for drinks. It was a nice time but it got a little weird. We were reminiscing about our past relationship when he brought up the fact in a laughing sort of way that he still planned on marrying me and having kids.

I am really confused now… he doesn’t want a relationship now but he has plans to marry me in the future. What does this all mean???
