How do you become more than friends?

My last relationship ended about 3 months ago. It lasted for over 4 years so I have been out of the dating game for a long time now and find myself a little rusty.
I met this girl almost 2 months ago and we really have hit it off. At the time I was still getting over my previous relationship so I didn't pursue a romantic one but we did become close friends. Now I find myself attracted to her. I think she feels the same towards me but I am not 100 percent sure. Which is the best way to find out?
Should we just talk?
Should I just come out and kiss her after a night out? (if the mood is right)
Should I setup a real romantic date and see how she reacts?
Which option do most women prefer?

It's probably not best to spring news like this on her. If you are close as friends then she shouldn't be offended if you tell her what's in your heart. Communicate that you are just being open with your feelings and that she has no obligations to return them but you just wanted to let her know. She should be pleased that you are being honest and 'try anything on' which would've just caused embarassment on both sides. Good luck and keep us posted!

While that is true that you should not just spring the news to her, be cautious when bringing up your feelings. I had this happen to me with my best friend. I met this woman, and we hit it off right off the bat and became good friends fast. It has been a while now, and sometime within the last few months I have fallen in love with her. Well, I finally mustered enough courage to tell her how I feel, and well it freaked her out and we almost lost our friendship. About a month after I told her how I had felt, she finally let me start hanging out again and its weird now, we still have that same kind of friendship, but I still know I love her and it kinda is awkward around her now. I hope everything works out for you, but keep in mind that your original friendship is whats most important, then I would shove your feelings deep in a hole somewhere. But if your serious about pursuing a relationship with this woman, then go for it dude, the worst that's going to happen is she says no and you loose a friend, best that will happen is you two spend the rest of your lives happy.
