They gave the trials based on your e mail address. And you had several days. I actually met several women and had relationships with some during that time period.

but the date sites got wise and realized you could stay on their sites for a long time by using alternate address's.

So now they require a cc.

Also, technology grew cheap and so did computers and the intterent made the world a much smaller place. Scammer in russia and Ghana could scam you from the other side of the world..

And people fell for it and still do.

But in the golden age of internet dating, technology and computers were expensive and most people that used computers were either geeks or they used them at work. now people use them like a TV.

So they DId work once but now, it is a landmine of scams and greed
