Lookee what I found

When I was doing a little websurfing Thursday night, I accidentally found one of the barrel's rotten apples.

I used to think online dating is messed up only by the users who abuse the system... until I found a forum of marketers who have also been messing it up, by their posting fake profiles, with links designed to earn them money when someone clicks on them. I didn't post the link to the forum here, because I'm not sure I'd be allowed to do so... but I was shocked.

These marketers have NO REMORSE for the fraud they perpetrate online. Their attitude is that anyone who's dumb enough to join one of those online dating services, deserves to be taken advantage of. The only thing sacred to these creeps is money. They are no better than those scammers in Nigeria. They will even rip the site owners off if they can.

I guess the only way to solve the problem, would be for online dating services to have their new applicants show up in person at their office before their profile can be activated, or before they can contact other members.

I think that with all the fake profiles floating around online, anyone who says they met the love of their life through online dating, is either not telling the truth, or is very, very lucky.
