My conversation on Youragemeets ended when I said I split bills 50/50

I am 47, have never been married, and have returned to the dating apps this year. It had been two weeks into a fairly good discussion on Youragemeets with a woman I was genuinely looking forward to chatting with. On day ten, we started discussing what our ideal date would be like and I explained to her something I had told every woman for more than twenty years, I always share the expense. Not because I cannot afford not to do that but because I do not believe that one adult should pay for the other before even getting to know them.
She didn't take it well. Said men who talk about "equal footing" are usually the ones looking for a reason not to spend, and that a man covering the bill early is how she knows she's being taken seriously. I told her I take women seriously by treating them like adults, not like guests. She hasn't written since, two days.
Am I the last guy still doing this or did something shift that I missed?
