I posted separately that I thought my good guy profile is attracting scam ladies (if they are even women?) to ask for gift cards etc. I think good guy means gullible to these people.
What’s your opinion on this? Do you think good guys with normal profiles and descriptions (non sexual) can make it in the online dating world?

I don’t want to change me, but wondering if a profile change is necessary. Help please

Don’t change who u are. Then you’re a scammer too. Represent how you want to represent and figure it out from there. 👊🏻 Keep your stuff as good guy and some good girl will find you and b surprised you’re out there.

Don't change who you are because you CAN'T change who you are.Write what you want in your profile but it will gain you nothing. Every girl that you email will likely have 50 other emails in her box besides yours. Half of these guys will be taller than you. Half will be richer. Half will be more handsome. Half will have a bigger johnson. Half will have a cooler job. IOW, you have virtually no chance. No shade my good man but you just don't have the tools -- most of us don't.

The best thing that you can do is turn your back on this train wreck and cross a few things off of your bucket list. Will it make you more attractive to women? Chances are that it won't. What it will do is allow you to evolve and conditions to change.You won't be the same man in a couple of years because you aren't even the same man that you were last week. Change is guaranteed. Let it do its work.

Your assessment is spot-on. Being a "good guy" isn't a weakness in itself, but it is if you're naive. The danger is in being perceived as an easy mark. A "good guy" who's also savvy about online dating can do well. But you need to be smart about it.

There's often a stereotype that if you're not overtly sexual in your profile, you'll struggle online. But this isn't necessarily true. Many women gravitate towards the "nice guy" who's also confident and has a strong sense of self.
