Hello everyone.

I will start off by saying that I'm a quite private person. John Franklin is not - I will be honest - my real name.

After over a decade of hoping things would get better and a twenty year relationship, I find myself single and 'on the market'.

It's a very different world now. I don't really know what to do. I do know that I don't want to be on Tinder and having hookups, and such. I want to remain a bit old-fashioned.

Currently I'm looking at international dating. I'm speaking to some people in a number of countries around the world.

I'd like to get advice about how this all works. Both so that hopefully I can 'make it work' out for myself. But, also so that I can interact with others online in a fair and reasonable manner and not cause a bad experience for anybody I meet online.

Not sure what to write here... so I post.
