What technology can combat scammers?

I’m in the software field and after reading about scammers and starting this process I’m wondering what can be done about scammers? First off, reporting them to the dating site is good. But I think we need to use technology to combat them. Anyone out there have ideas? As users of these sites we should demand a solution.

I wish that users could verify themselves with the dating site in a special way that could ensure their safety. Almost like a check. Maybe it would filter out the foreign fraudsters.

This isn’t applying to the FBI. There will be good and bad people everywhere. You can’t fix this.

I think scammers will always be one step ahead so they will never be eliminated. The responsibility is on the user to be careful.
