Most 'hook-up' adult sites are scams designed to relieve men of their cash with nothing to show for it. The companies who own these sites employ women to reply to men's messages. My friend does this job, working from home on her laptop. She gets paid 15p per message she answers. Here's how it works: You send a message to someone and your message is answered by a random person (employee) who types out a bland, generic response which is then sent back to you. Your next message is then sent to someone else to answer. So every response you get from 'her' is actually coming from different people, every time. Every time you suggest swapping phone numbers or actually meeting up will be met with a typical excuse 'not ready to meet just yet', 'want to get to know you better' 'too busy right now' etc etc. And by the way, the system even alters your email and mobile number so even if there was a genuine woman answering your messages (which there isn't) she wouldn't be able to contact you anyway!
