I have seen so many hidden meanings in the dating profiles I read online that I figured we should start putting a list of them together. These are statements that are common in use but have a subtext to them and it may not be so clear what the person is trying to say.

When presenting your observations please include what gender it is for and then quote the sentence that contains the subtle meaning. You can then include your own insightful translation.

Here are some examples I have:

Women's Profiles
"Must be spontaneous" = I'm ADD, ADHD, or I get bored easily
"Just looking" = I want a tall rich guy, if you are average I won't give you the time of day
"Want an open minded guy" = I'm a nympho and have many boyfriends
"Looking for Mr.Right" = I'm picky

Men's Profiles
"Looking for a good hearted woman" = I just got dumped
