eHarmony Match Percentages and Questions

Why does eHarmony post match percentages when the match has not answered a single question yet?

The last time I had logged into eHarmony I looked at several matches that seemed interesting. All of them had percentages of compatibility with me but 4 of them had not answered the questions yet.

How does match percentages work?
