Like most dating websites there are tiered users. Some that are paying members who can send and receive emails and some who

cannot. Almost immediately after joining - as an unpaid member, I started receiving interest messages from women. Women who

were also unpaid members, I could only send an interest message (with unreadable content) in return. But for paying female

members, I could also send a custom message that they could read.

When I sent these messages to paying members, several of them responded - informing me that they had not sent me an interest

message and so they did not know why I was thanking them in my custom message.

It turns out that these cupid sites have a function that allows a member to absently (shotgun) send "interest" messages to a

broad spectrum of potential love interests without actually ever looking at their profiles. They are presented with a wall of

member photos - all checked - with one button that says "send interest."

Because of this clever function, you can be sure that many of the messages you have received are from the person in question -

but really mean nothing. Don't pay money to join in order to reply - you will most likely receive nothing for your money. This

funtion appears to be on all "Cupid" sites and in my opinion is another ripoff mechanism... AfroIntroductions.com,

Why can't these sites be "honest?" My guess is that if they were, they wouldn't make any money.
