Ever since I was a kid, I was told that drinking, smoking, and drugs were bad for you, and to never do them, from parents, family, friends, school people, police and fire fighters visiting my schools talking to us kids etc. I even did that D.A.R.E. program.
Anyway since then I have stuck by that and never have drank, smoked, or done any drugs ever. Don't ever plan too either, because I find that stuff turns out to be very unhealthy. Drinking causes your brain cells to die out, makes you stupid, aggressive, causes addiction, and ill, with the hang-overs, vomiting, etc. Plus if your in a relationship with a man, and he has been drinking he will force himself on you and have sex with you no matter what. Plus could get physically violent towards you as well.
Smoking drugs of any type as well as cigarettes is unhealthy for you as well. Causing a number of cancers, holes in your throat, old age to rapidly happen, addiction, violence, abuse, etc.
To me, reading up on what all of this stuff does, seeing it happen in TV shows, movies, music videos, and seeing it from family, friends, it just made me really refuse to want to take part in doing any of it.
So I stayed away from it and have been Straight Edge, never doing any of it as I have mentioned. ANYWAY, my point here is as of lately, I keep having my family and friends, tell me I am being too judgmental of people.
I do refuse to date men who drink, smoke, or do drugs. Even if they do it once a year or for a special occasion I won't put up with it. So because of this, my family and friends say I am a bad person and need to be less judgemental, open my eyes more and accept people more.
Like for instance, if a I found a guy who needed to smoke weed which is a drug and is legal in some places yes, that I should be accepting of that and this person as well. WHY should I have to put him with a man who smokes weed for his health? Even if it kept him alive and from dying, I would not put up with that. But yet my family and friends tell me oh I am a bad person and I should be ashamed of myself and I judge people too much etc.
I know what I want in a man and what this stuff can do to you as a person and I don't want to be around it at all. Why can't they accept that? Why should I accept someone that does this stuff, in my life, and be okay with it?
I just want to find someone that does not do this stuff like me. Is that so wrong of me to want?
What do you think of all of this? What would you do in my situation?

There is nothing wrong about not wanting to date someone who drinks and smoke because I myself dislike those men out there that have those hobby. Aside the fact that it is dangerous to the health, it is also waste of money.
