Confused about Eharmony matches and blocking?

I am new to Eharmony and was wondering if someone can explain some things as I am really confused.

1. I sent a message to a guy and a day later his profile box was grey and it said he had "moved on." I later learned this meant being blocked, but I also noticed other people I haven't even communicated with in my inbox greyed out and then disappeared, why? Are all these people blocking matches randomly?

2. Why do I have matches in my inbox and then the number of matches goes down? I haven't seen any way to delete people from my inbox I'm not interested in.


3. What are these matches in my inbox being based off of?

age groups , areas of contact ??many preferential filters can be used by members..they dont want to meet older or younger ,or wrong area
