Here is my status update for Christian Mingle. It has been just over 2 weeks since I signed up for 3 months. I was really excited the first day. I sent out about 8 messages to other members and then I waited for the replies to come in. By day 2 I was pretty disappointed because not one person had replied. I sent out a few more emails that day and by day 3 I had a reply from one of the first emails I sent. He seemed like a real nice gentleman. On day 4 I got 3 more replies. It was Saturday and obviously a lot more people check their accounts on the weekend than during the week.

By the start of week 2 I was getting the hang of online dating. This is my first time doing it and I obviously had some learning to do. I started to figure out what members most likely were going to reply back and starting to send them messages to them. Right now I am talking to about 9 different members via email which is a bit much. It is hard to keep things straight. I think I am going to pick my top 3 members and go to the next level and talk on the phone. I will let the other 6 members know that it was nice to talk with them but that I don’t think they are a match for me.

I can’t wait to move to the next step and go on an actual date!

I have a paid membership on CM. Haven't encountered any blatant scammers so far but I have to wonder if they throw in some "ringers." I've seen two guys, ostensibly in my state, that looked like models. The first one was too far away so I did not contact him but the second one supposedly lived much closer. "He" sent me a "smile" so I sent a brief response. Did not receive anything back and a week or two later he's no longer on the site! Hmmmm...
