I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with scams on ChristianMingle .com

I have meet what seems to be a very nice Christian woman that is beautiful. She is from
Ghana and needs money. Her pastor has called me. Her mom texts me. He doctor has called me........................feels like a scam......Just hard to believe people do this for a living.........
any thoughts or experiances out there.

YES I have a friend who was writing to a man supposedly from California who "flew to Ghana on business" and promptly wanted $800 to pay the workers until he could get a bank account set up. Yeah, right.

She called Christian Minglae and they told her they screen out thousands of these scammers but apparently lots get through anyway.

If you have to ask whether this is a scam, you are the very sort of person they are counting on duping. Good luck.

Yes it is a scam! Unfortunately there are who has no fear of God and will anything and everything for money. I am a Christian and my sister was victimized by this scam also. We need to be extra vigilant and careful in dealing with people in the internet... once they ask you for money or start calling - STOP and report them!

Don't send any money. I meet the same woman on Christain Mingle. She claimed her name was Melody Watson and that she lived in Philly but was over in Ghana on some buisness. Don't trust her! I thought she was so wonderful but she only wanted $2500 from me. Once I would'nt give it to her she stopped talking to me.

I had a substantially bad experience with a woman I met on christian mingle who first listed her place of residence as one city and turned out to live in another; then second, told me that she owned the home and furniture where she lived which was ultimately foreclosed and sold; then finally, had ongoing relationships with men she had been involved with previously. The full depth of her lies is unknown - I would encourage any man to be extremely cautious about so called christian dating sites.

beware of a man who goes by the name "minglehertz" he says he from Greece, says his wife dies nd his son studies abroad. He claims to live in Virginia, once he pulls you in some very bizarre passionate talk, he then says he will be out of the country , then emails you to ask for money! Thank God I Never gave him any of my personal info other than my email. He became very angry that i would not send him mo0ney, and never would ask me any questions about my life, it was always about him, but only superficial things. Nothing with substance. I reported him to the site and was told he had already been removed for "suspicious behavior". Naturally I am done with thi ssite, although one bad experience does not dictate the sucess or failure of this site, I Have met nothing but freaks. They also continue to match me with people outside of my preferences in spite of my asking to have this changed. No more!

Christian mingle is great, afrikans, russians or any one asking for money daaaaaa! Come on people strangers dont ask strangers for money. Wake up! And for those who arent getting that person and think there playing hard to get.......im sorry to say but just like the movies says...there probably just not that into you....there is plenty of wonderful people on the site who are genuine decent people, a better concentration than most sites! Sorry to be blunt but hey its the facts........peace out ;-)

I met what I thought was the man of my dreams, from the US military. 10 months and alot of money later I came to find out it was a woman in Ghana using a stolen service man ID. I am so so very hurt and heartbroken. How do I find this man to let him know whats going on with his ID and name?

I have been on CM for 6 month, all free/not a $$ member. I have noticed that many really interesting profiles have a short (profile)"longevity". It is impossible to tell if a profile is paid for or "free", you can not write this directly into the essay. My complaint is primarily about the minuscule number of women on that site who can read and understand a profile. On CM I have never been scammed by a beautiful blonde stranded in Ghana or wherever. One female user on CM was very unchristian, she blocked me and I think she was the 1 who "reported" me, no big loss......Of all the "smiles" I got, directly or in return, I can only have the feeling of 1(one): "the trophy-catch that got away", she quit CM B4 I could connect.

I saw multiple ads for CM. I was hesitant to join but one night I just said what the hell. As it turns out a great womans son had been telling her she should join and she joined the same day. There is no doubt in my mind that this woman was place in my path by God. She is the absolute love of my life.

I love hearing stories like this. It gives me such great hope with my pursuit in finding someone to share my life with. I have been thinking of signing up for Christian Mingle. I think I will do it tonight when I get home from work so I can have the whole weekend to use the service.

Many thanks
