Hey guys,
Faced the same problems as you did - super shy and not pretty active in a social life. I used some other dating websites like Tinder and Match.com I can also recommend you mymagicbrides since my brother used it. And talked to some girls for several weeks to check if it is a scam or not. He is dating a lovely foreign girl now and things are getting serious!

I find what you find on sites depends on the type of people on there. The type of people on there will confuse things and turn off the right people. But how to figure out where to find the right people. Dating reviews could help figure this out.

I try pof in Cairns. They seem to have out of the market tied up and you tend to see familiar faces from other sites like occupied and the Australian Oasis, but it seems to be treated like a frisky site. I am sick of nearly everybody I look at being interested in mainly camping, fishing, beer, outdoors, and/or football. I feel like putting not interested in any of these things, but they are so shallow I might never get contacted. I mean that a number are alright, but they are not likely to look further than what sports they are interested in.

I have a theory that the market has segmented so the more discerning dater will go to a top paid site (for sports or not) but that most non sports (and I am referring to sex) types are there. But places like RSVP have truly horrendous pricing structures since lucrative buyouts, charging very much for very few Stamps, each, of course, only able to be used to talk to one person. I also expect that people who are far too private and far too fearful, might go to these sites or even to match only introduction sites like eharmony. Eharmony over here is curious due to the advertising. I wonder if they are trying to appeal to certain people by using actors that look made up and fake to me in what looks undesirable final match scenes.

Now on blogging social media sites that tend to attract people that are psychologically a bit too out going, you have the other extreme (and in Facebook everybody else) . I suppose through your blog you can make yourself look more desirable to these people.

Now, another Avenue. You can look in the place that has the women you want and get along with. I seem to get along really well with Punjabi professional women from Northern India. I get along with professional women more, and those from certain classes and regions normally anyway. I seem to see more eye to eye with these women. So one of them suggested to me to go on shaardi and I have just been trying to sign up (some page error canceling registration. See the review here about shaardi customer support).. Again, normal dating websites are very bad at putting you with the type of women you like, with no wake up call to young women that they should pick from the type of men they like and get along with don't matter what they look like, how rich, or within reason what age, rather than shop for a man. Both men and women do it, go in with a bunch of unrealistic expectations looking for the best catch rather than what really suites them. What is needed is a site that allows you to list what type of person you are actually like, what sort of people actually like you, and what type of people you are looking for as well, then options, which then lists by those those four categories, listing the ones that overlap first as best matches. The user simply selects the type of search or go with the best match combination. Does anybody know such a site? I could design a better site than most of these sites.

As usual, 98% of the work to find the right person is up to you.

they all operate a confidentiallity contract so employees dont spill the beans about their underhand practices and offer fat pensions which employees lose if they spill the beans

What you should ask is if there are any genuine people and not fake profiles....on any site of this kind, exist fake profiles and also real profiles. You just need to sort'em out. If someone wants to scam you, they can do it anywhere, anyhow they can, when they can. So, there is no 100% fake, nor 100% genuine site. There are websites with a smaller degree of fake profiles, while others have more scammers than real people. Take care, i wish you good luck in your findings !

On the more genuine sites, unless fake people, I think you will find most profiles are genuine or old. These sites tend to have most people or few profiles. On Oasis, many profiles are genuine I think, but many rather old, because they have moved over to POF, RSVP, OKcupid, eharmony etc. But the sane happens to a number of those as they move to another one. So POF, is probably a destination at the moment for fairly outright people. If you look through you find old rather than many fake profiles, but the numbers are still shrinking.

Im just reporting 4 profiles to one site that maybe prostitutes. Three of the profiles seem to be the same girl, a 19 year old will look like that. The other one could be older looking. But there must be a better way for sites to sort this out. Maybe governments can setup a database for website users to register at an office their picture and age (no other details) and registeting officer internally for anti-corruption purposes. The websites would be given the photo ID by the user, and anonymously look up the database to see if the same photo and age. Very anomynous too. The user could pay $1-10 per ID photo if governments choose. The user does not need to register other photos on a profile. Would solve a few issues, as with Skype websites could register them or people could report it is not the same people. An extention to this scheme could handle scammers too.

once women register on date sites they become swollen headed monsters and no guy will fit their bill ,even if you tick all the boxes .many signups are left just hanging with few signins to check mail so are really just obsolete accounts that never got deleted ... the owners of sites just want to collect names and sell on the site to the big players for millions of $ ....theyre all data mining ...you may get lucky if you spent months hunting and find a diamond but the reality of the odds facing a guy is not good ....

Where did you hear all this rubbish? Large dating sites wouldnt buy fake profiles for a start, why would they when it would be easy to set your own up. Most of the established sites use Google adwords or Bing to buy members or they use affiliates, and with the affiliate marketers if they are found to be bringing in fake profiles then they either dont get paid for that lead or they get taken off their books. Most of the fake profiles are scammers that the mods team have missed, but again good dating sites have report buttons to highlight the scammers. Dont just make crap up think about what you're saying so you dont look a fool.
