Personals.yahoo.com = Do you Yahoo? Not any more, no. I found it a hassle to navigate around this site. Still, I put up with it for four months and had but one message. Of course, she had no photo and very little profile. You may browse and post an ad/profile for free but it's $19.95/month to send mail. This site, ironically enough, had the most matches to my criteria at over 500 women. A week after I "quit" the site, I received a message saying that I had someone interested in me. I tried to log back in but my password had been disabled (not account but password). A week later, I had another message from the same person interested in me. Once again, I tried to log on but couldn't. I contacted yahoo and they gave me the run around. One has to wonder if the "person interested in" me was just a ploy to get me to sign up again.
Kiss.com = Seemed to be a very good site. Extremely comprehensive in its questions to describe and match you. You could add someone you liked to your "Friends List" and send one message to someone without paying to register. You must subscribe to send more messages. Subscriptions are $24.95/month like most sites. I added 37 women to my "Friends List" but not one of them ever added me to theirs. I also never received any messages from any woman on the site. I tried them for close to a year. They claim "we average 300-400 new members every hour." My searches would turn up 100+ women matching my general criteria. You would think that with over 30,000 new members each week, there might be one that is interested in me.
Getgaga.com = A very weak site but it does contain a very good selection of questions and essays to answer. From my six months of observations, no new women were ever added. None of my matches ever contacted me. They state "free membership while we build our service" but their service never changed in any way, shape, or form during my half year with them. This was the first site I joined and the least used by me.
Date.com = It's advertised everywhere so it must be good, right? Good in the fact that it is free to click the "Interest" button thus telling the other individual that you're interested in them. You may do this to see if it is worth it to pay to register and send messages. I found it was not. I showed my interests in 47 women. None of them showed interest back. It costs $24.95 a month to send messages. Total women matching my most general criteria on searches was 100+. Only twice did someone show interest in me. Both of these women were opposite of my tastes on over half my criteria and neither had photos. I stayed with them for 4-6 months. The site says meet "thousands of handsome guys and hot girls." I tried but nothing doing.

I noticed with Date.com, that even though I wasn't a paying member, I got some women showing interest in me. However, when I paid to send them a message, never got a response. The only response I got was to see them at their own site (pay of course), which I turned them in to have their profiles removed.
So, I think they (date.com) sent the interests to get me to sign up. I also noticed that if you do not do anything for 30 minutes, then it logs you off. However, I would check from work and home, and odd hours, and I noticed a couple of the ladies were on all the time.
