eHarmony, a joke

I subscribed and was shocked by how much of a scam it is. They had no search criteria for "photos only", height, religious preference or body type. If the matching is done so scientifially, how can they match total opposites? How can they pair someone who sees organized religions as a joke with a religious zealot? How can they think tall and slender is perfectly paired with short and fat? They claim in their ads that they reject some people but yet most of their members don't have photos? Isn't one of the most cruxial factors about choosing a partner seeing their face?
From my point of view, their claims are bogus and the fee is a total RIP OFF. They sent me only a couple "possibles" the first couple months and when I asked for my money back, they refused but suddenly were sending me lots of matchs. Virtally none of the matches had photos, were even remotely near me, and were all virtually a foot shorter than I am.
I'm sure they've had some dumb luck but for all the claims they make in their ads, it's a total crock.

You are right on. AT first you get a bunch of people sending you icebrakers and the like, but it doesn't take long before they stop. That is just to intice you to join. Once I joined and paid all of that money, they trickled down. Only if you try to get a refund do they start back up. This was the worst collection of men that I have ever seen. I wasn't looking for a moive star, but come on. These guys were not for me. They lived far away, some were very short or very fat, and just not for anyone. Very disappointed. Those commercials about the smiling attactive couples I am sure don't happen that often.
