If you're thinking of joining It's Just Lunch, please read:
Before I signed up for It's Just Lunch, I read reviews, some of which were really terrible. But, I thought, 'Hey, I'm successful and relatively good looking, so will likely have a much better experience than that.' I was very mistaken. This has been the most humiliating dating experience I've ever had.
Things you should know before you join:
YOU GO ON BLIND DATES.
THE MATCHING PROCESS IS TERRIBLE.
IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY.
I paid $3200, PLUS $99 per month. In 9 months I had just 11 dates. I was not attracted to these dates, and I had little in common with them. One date was 16 years older than me! I was told there were lots of men in my area and if I had to travel the date would meet me half way. But, at times I would drive 1-1.5 hours and my dates would drive 5-15 minutes. After a couple months I was called by a service called Elite Singles (a subsidiary of IJL) who said there was a lot of positive feedback from my dates and recommended I move to their service. The Elite Singles service offered to go out to social events and find men for me to date. They sent me pictures of multiple very good looking and successful men that I could meet through Elite Singles. The price for Elite Singles? $30,000. Yes, you read that correctly - $30,000. I'm left with the conclusion this was a total scam - $4,000 for a completely humiliating dating experience. For a mere $26,000 more, I could get what I thought I was getting with It's Just Lunch.
I write this review to try to save others money and a miserable experience.

There haven't been blind dates in years. How long ago did you use this service? Wonder if the reviews on here are from real clients like myself?

They are all blind dates, they give you a few details about the person, but never enough to even google search with much confidence and unless you are in the highes tier (~15K in my area at minimum) you do NOT get a pic of the person

Ditto. I've had the exact same experience. I had one "personally selected" date last only one minute. Serious. This service is a joke and I'm out a ton of cash.

It’s just lunch is so desperate for members that they go to local law firms and accounting firms and give memberships to those associates of the firms for free. I was offered a free membership of course signing a document that states you will not disclose this to anyone. It’s a total scam

So not true. I was a participant for IJL - then I became a client and then I found my special someone. That is not at all what you sign. There is no agreement that states you won't say you are a non-paying member. It's about upholding the IJL standard. I have to assume the reviews on this site are not from verified clients of IJL as there is a ton of false and misleading information on this site. I asked a ton of questions and gave serious and honest feedback. It took a while but they listened and found me a wonderful person!

I am a client and I couldn't agree with you more. There is a ton of bad information on here. I think some people think there is a magic wand even though what they've been doing didn't work. I have worked hard to provide feedback and every date hasn't been great but has gotten better each time. Chemistry is the key and I'm confident I will continue to have a great time and the potential is definitely there to meet someone I have chemistry with. I am definitely meeting REAL people and no longer fighting through any dating websites full of scammers and hookups.
