It's Just Lunch Experience

I decided to spend the money on myself with IJL to obtain quality. What I have gotten from IJL is way more humiliating depressing and disheartening than anything I experienced for $40 a month online. In fact it is so bad I'm actually going to therapy

I signed up early November, first Matchmaker ended up yelling at me. Received another Matchmaker without any apology for what happened. My first date end of December. ER physician. Liked him a lot went on two dates and then was told he was not looking for a relationship and he sent me a really rude picture of himself. Depressing and humiliating.

Next date February. Walked around restaurant for an hour with people staring at me. Restaurant did not know anything about IJL date. He never showed up. Couldn't be reached. More depressing and humiliating. Keep in mind these dates are more than an hour away from my house, close to where they are in Orlando.

Sent several emails and calls to second Matchmaker and finally called corporate headquarters to discover that she was not in the Orlando market anymore. Finally got a email from new Matchmaker. Next match sent to me was 5"6" gentleman. Told Matchmaker I did not I think it was a good match because in none of his pictures was he smiling at all and I am a person who smiles all the time. She assured me that he was actually a very fun guy and that I should go. Date was set today, middle of May almost three months after the last date didn't show. Date set for 1:30. I told Matchmaker that friends wanted to go to Universal, if date could be earlier would be great, if not I would cancel my plans. Matchmaker said I should cancel my plans, so I did.

Today went to restaurant an hour away and no one showed up. No one called. I am beyond humiliated and upset and depressed. How in the world do you stay in business? I have gone into this with palms up and made myself very vulnerable which is not easy for a physician. In return I have gotten nothing but humiliation and depression and no one seems to help

I truly appreciate your feedback but wanted to tell you that my heart goes out to you . I am also a physician, single of course & not sure what to do at this point
