My Silversingles experience

I signed up for silversingles and was amazed at how many matches i had! so i carefully reviewed the 140 matches presented the first day and wrote to about 10 women. What I noticed is that 9 out of 10 did not even pick up their emails. I was confused. Well, it turns out that they match you with women (men) who have not paid for subscriptions. They get an email notification stating that someone has sent a message! wow, excitement! you click on the link and see that, if you are not subscribed, you can't respond to the message, or see a clear picture of the person who sent it. when you click send, you are directed to the subscription page.

OK, i understand, but they should at least let PAID MEMBERS know who has not paid. Why message someone who cant respond?

Another big complaint, I clearly said that I wanted to find someone within 100 miles. I live near chicago, so that should not be a problem, right? So I look at my matches (and remember, 9 out of 10 are not subscribed) and the ONE that is subscribed lives in OKLAHOMA! AND WE WERE A 97% MATCH!. How could i be a 97% match with someone 700 miles away?

There are more complaints, but this is the last one i will subject you to. When you preview a person, the "city" could be, let's say, Lakeview. When you go to the profile, the city changes to Gary. Now, lakeview is a neighborhood in chicago. Gary is a city in Indiana. In the profile, there is no mention of "lakeview". I requested that they append the state name to the city name, so that it would read Gary, IN...they said thanks but ....I have unsubscribed.

OMG LOL you submit a comment and some moderator has to review for approval. What a scam, quite sure they won't approve this !!

Omg, torture to fill out. Says free trial, then boom PAY. I said well give a go, then if you don't call and cancel after 12 months they charge you 240.00 automatically. That's BULL. And all the questions about ethnictcy??? And the billing is out of Germany? I buy American thank God.

What a scam easy to join. But try and cancel and its a mine field.

I wasn't aware they were going to bill me six months all at once. Then when you cancel, it only cancels future billings.? I'm currently working to get my debit reversed. I was a member for 6 days... we'll see...

That is exactly what they are doing. I just signed up to find out that the majority of my matches are with members that are on the free subscription and you can not communicate with them. Just what sort of company is this. To me this is fraud!! A paying member should get paying matches not ones that you can not talk to... I have only been on a week and I don't care what it takes I will get my money back. I am calling my credit card and launching a fraud complaint if I do not get a full refund...
