It seems to me that your best bet is to write a profile that reflects who you truly are. After all, if you date anyone for a time, your true colors will show. Then your assumed "match" will turn out to be fraudulent in the end.

One of my pet peeves with dating sites is that the women all appear to be hedonistic; in constant search of good times. Surfing, skiing, yoga, and I might add "travel" hold little appeal for me, and yet these kinds of things are all you see on some sites, and I'm thinking of Plenty Of Fish in particular.

Is there not anyone on a dating site who works 60-hour weeks and has no time to "be active"? I'd like to find that person; someone who is planning for her retirement and may actually have the means to follow through with her plans when the time comes.

Don't assume that every person on a dating site is looking for the same type of partner, because we're all different, and we all seek different qualities in a mate.

Work is good, but you don't want to come across as a workaholic then couch potato after work! Who wants a partner who doesn't want to do things together outside of work? You will want the woman to be attracted to your ability to manage both work and life outside of work, right? Personally, I'm not into any of those things either, but I work my 40 hrs/week and find time with friends to tailgate at U of A football games during that season, drive up to Phoenix for the weekend and catch a Diamondbacks game or Suns game. Even a ride up Mt. Lemmon to enjoy a cool breeze is considered activity! Get out of the house, that's all!
