ZERO stars. RUN RUN RUN from this site! The greedy con-artists at Jdate manipulates your subscription and over-charges your credit card. Shame on them for preying on innocent people just trying to meet other people. I clearly clicked on a $39.99 ONE month subscriptions and "somehow" I was charged for the full six month subscription for $131.94. I did not receive an email confirmation nor a detailed receipt. How convenient. I just happened to look at my credit card statement and received the shock of a lifetime. I wanted out altogether because of this ruse, but according to the bogus "terms and condition" there are no cancellations. They got my 40 bucks but I will do everything in my power to spread the word of this criminal activity.

I agree. JDATE IS A BIG JOKE! I have never met anyone on there. All women are looking for on JDate is guys with money and there are no local results. The customer service is poor! JDATE IS WAY OVERPRICED AND EVEN TO JOIN FOR A MONTH OR EVEN TRY IT FOR A FEW DAYS TO SEE IF I GOT ANY MESSAGES, THEY CHARGE YOU $39.00 A MONTH! RIDICULOUS! KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE! THEY HAVE A NO REFUND POLICY TOO! TO HELL WITH JDATE!! I AM NEVER USING THAT AGAIN! Why can't it be free to find a nice Jewish woman? The site is only for rich yuppie Jews who don't mind wasting money and finding a rich Jewish girl!

Jdate makes it look like there's more current members in your area then there actually is. I'm in NY so there should be plenty. They make it extremely difficult to cancel your subscription. I too paid for one month and was resubscribed for an additional month while I had the auto renew feature turned off. I wrote to their customer support who told me f**k off so I was on the hook for this next $40. I cancelled again and this time i wrote customer service to make sure it stays cancelled. If it doesn't i'll take it up with the better business bureau. Also as soon as you do cancel expect a bunch of messages from "fake" profiles who are interested lol.

The same thing just happened to me on Jdate. I turned off auto-renew and was charged again. I am now emailing JDate back and forth trying to get them to undo my most recent charge. To add insult to injury, the site is useless. The pickings in NYC, of all places, appear to be slim - at least in the 50-ish age range. It is not worth subscribing for more than a short period at a time - enough to go through the potential matches.

once I stopped paying they had what turned out to be a fictitious beautiful woman "member" with a great profile write to me, luring me to rejoin and when I did to respond to her email, she suddenly disappeared from the site!

Exactly right. A majority of my matches hadn't logged on in over sixty days.
