First Quarter 2011 Financials

Late last month IAC released their first quarter 2011 results. Overall IAC revenues were up a fair bit from the same period last year. Revenue was $460.2 million which was an increase of 22 percent. Net income for the quarter was $18.1 million.

For the dating sites IAC owns (which are listed under the heading Match) revenue for this quarter was $111.6 million. This is up 25 percent over the same quarter in 2010. The IAC Core dating properties saw subscriber growth of 22 percent which drove revenues to increase 18 percent to $93.3 million. Core consists of (US only), Chemistry and People Media's dating sites. IAC's Developing dating properties was responsible for $18.3 million in revenue which is an 82 percent increase over last year's quarter. Q1 2010 did not include a full quarter from SinglesNet though since it was acquired during that time. Developing consists of SinglesNet, OkCupid, mobile only products and international operations.

One interesting note in the report was that subscribers who use mobile phones to access grew by 135 percent when compared to 2010.
