Having been a member of Match.com and now Yahoo.com, I've noticed
that with Yahoo (when you're sent a summary of possible mates in your
radius of interest) only shows the member's town/city and not the state.
That is only visible once you click on that member's full profile. Here in
New England, there are six states close together... and all share most all
the same name of towns (example: there's a Manchester, MA, VT, NH,
CT), so seeing possibles all from "Manchester" can be misleading,
especially when each lives in a different state.

if yahoo personals are so great then why are they being sued for putting fake profiles on their website? just look up match.com in your search engine and "the news about match and yahoo personals" will tell you that they are being sued for fraud.

I too found yahoo personals a big fraud. I was suppose to have 7 days free,however if you read the fine print they need 24 hours notice to cancel. So much for 7 Free days. I cancelled but had to pay what I had signed up for since I cancelled on day 7. 3 months later I was re billed, cancelling with them is a nightmare and if you cancel incorrectly as I did you keep paying. I had no account with them and no means to cancel. I read through all ther legal stuff found a number in California and through them talked with a rep. She too could not find an account but would only partially refund me. No more Yahoo for me.

THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY USELESS. THEY HAVE A MACHINE TO VET PROFILES WHICH WRONGLY CLAIMS YOU ARE BREAKING THEIR RULES, BUT DOESN'T TELL YOU WHICH RULE OR WHICH PHRASE IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM.
THEN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE EITHER DON'T REPLY OR THEY CLAIM TO HAVE FIXED IT, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I've seen many not-legit spammers/email trollers are now on YahooPersonals, just beware of that. "Her" profile will have just 1 pic & its always a beauty headshot right out of a magazine, & "her" profile just begs every person of any kind to email her, & says she's into wild stuff. Ask yourself why sounds too good to be true, then you'll realize, it's the same spam guys who clog emails with bogus subject titles, are who will each post many fake profiles of women like that.
